ABOUT RABBI MARK COOPER

Meet Rabbi Mark Cooper, a mohel in New York

ABOUT ME

I've been a mohel for nearly 30 years and have had the honor of officiating at thousands of bris ceremonies. My goal is to create a meaningful and inspiring ceremony for your family.

Experience & Training

I was trained at Bikur Cholim Hospital in Jerusalem under Yosef Ha-Kohen Halpern z”l, a 5th generation mohel.

Safety & Technique

I use the Bronstein clamp (sometimes called a mogen), an instrument that provides a rapid and bloodless result. I personally sterilize all instruments in an autoclave before each use and wear surgical gloves. Please note, I do not perform "metzitza b’peh" (oral suction).

A Personal Touch

I live in Riverdale, New York, and travel to families in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut to perform the ceremony in the comfort of your home.

COVID-19 MESSAGE:

I am vaccinated and boosted, and wear a mask at every bris.  I rapid test before each day's brises.
