ABOUT
RABBI MARK COOPER
ABOUT ME
I’ve been a mohel for nearly 30 years and have officiated at thousands of bris ceremonies. I was trained at Bikur Cholim Hospital in Jerusalem under Yosef Ha-Kohen Halpern z”l, a 5th generation mohel. I use the Bronstein clamp (sometimes called a mogen), an instrument for infant circumcision that enables a rapid and bloodless result. I wear surgical gloves and personally sterilize all instruments in an autoclave before each use. I do not perform “metzitza b’peh” (oral suction). I live in Riverdale, New York, and travel to all parts of New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.
COVID-19 MESSAGE:
I am vaccinated and boosted, and wear a mask at every bris. I rapid test before each day's brises.
